About Me

Hard to believe a year has come and gone since I've last posted on here! So much has happened in the last year and a half, that I can't even begin to tell you how much has changed. Some days I think it's for the better, but other days it's for the worse. Hopefully my Mackenzie is looking out for me from heaven and giving me all the strength I can to get through and push forward.

So this is my little blog...what started off as strictly a card making site has turned into my Arts, Baking and Crafts/Cards blog (my ABC Blog! haha). I'm hoping to keep up with blogging now, hopefully posting on a regular basis! And please feel free to comment, I love to hear feedback because it always helps me fix something somewhere along the line!

For starters, Hi! I'm Kristen, I'm 24 years old. I live in a little town called Poplar Hill, Ontario where everyone knows everyone else's business...one of those kinda small towns. So yes, I am a country girl haha! I am currently working full-time in a small bakery making pizzas all day everyday, but on the occasion I get to do the small odd jobs (which I must say, is a great change from pizzas).

I have been doing arts and crafts since I was a little girl, I remember doing all sorts of different things with my mom for bazaars and Christmas gifts for people. I love crafts and baking...when it's not pizzas! Anyways, my mom and I picked up card making about 14 years ago when we went to Holland to visit family and that was the big thing there at the time. We've been doing it ever since! Now I get to share the fun with my little sister, who is 12 years younger than me. 

I have also been trying all the new recipes I find, some turn out fantastic, where as others...well maybe not so much! I've recently found a lot of great recipes, so here's hoping for both your sake and mine that they actually turn out! I have also been taking the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes, so hopefully that will further me along and give me some great ideas to show you!

I find making cards very relaxing, even though it is time consuming, and can be a little stressful at times, but it is definitely worth it because the finished product (usually) look incredible!
